Jason and Jared are Louisiana natives who have proudly called Crowley their homes for much of their lives. A 1996 graduate of Crowley High School, Jason was an active member in the Future Farmers of America organization and Agricultural Sciences. Jason began his first job at 16. Many may remember him from his days managing Mr. Gatti’s or assisting Audie Hanks with H&H Electric on various projects around Crowley. Bearing a close resemblance, as many brothers do; Jared started his days early in the workforce as well. While in high school, Jared worked for H&H Electrical Service and Republic Auto Parts; both based in Crowley. Each brother attributes their dutiful work ethic to their parents W.D. and Sandra Monk.

Jason was first introduced to the oil and gas industry in 1997, when he began working for Schooner Petroleum Services. Jason’s pride in his work, loyalty to the company and love for his employees earned him promotion after promotion. What started out as a job cleaning shop floors, ended in 2002 with Jason being the Assistant Manager of the entire Gulf Coast Region. During this time, Jason called upon the one person he trusted most to join him. In July of 1999, the summer prior to his senior year of high school, Jared began his career in the oil and gas industry working for Schooner Petroleum Services. During his three years with Schooner, he worked his way up from a shop laborer to field supervisor, frequently performing jobs in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, and the Gulf of Mexico.

In June of 2002, Jared and Jason opened up the first district office in Louisiana for Bronco Oilfield Services. As manager, Jason served on the board for the Quality Steering Committee; ultimately spearheading the creation of procedures for the company. Jason quickly became known for his consistency in abiding by company policies and his ability to restore order in turbulent times. During this same time, Jared was responsible for leading the creation of multiple satellite facilities for Bronco, as well as serving as manager for the College Station, TX office. He managed over fifty employees while providing monthly budget forecast to Bronco’s Corporate Office. Jared is also noted for assisting in the securing of the first high pressure, 20,000 psi job for the company.

After leaving Bronco; Jason, Jared, and a small collection of trusted coworkers made stops at Professional Wireline Rentals and Select Energy Services over the next several years as they helped each of these businesses start or maintain operations in the states of Louisiana and Texas. Each situation granted Jared and Jason more experience in key management roles, introduced them to industry contacts and contributed to their expertise in this field. In addition, these several years, reminded the brothers that there is no place like home.

December 2011 brought forth the inevitable. A life-long goal culminating with the start of their own company. Jason and Jared formed Jaguar Energy Services in their very own Crowley, LA. They were proud to be able to contribute to their community and offer careers to their neighbors. Since its inception, the company has expanded to opening districts in San Antonio, TX; Bryan, TX; Midland, TX; Henderson, CO; Sidney, MT; as well as two operational offices and the corporate office in Crowley. This relentless dream has developed into an industry-leading provider of flowback and well testing services that has been their source of joy and success for the past five years.

Throughout their careers in the oil and gas industry, Jason and Jared have partnered together on projects for Bolivia, Hungary, China, and Mexico; as well as being consulted by Schlumberger and British Petroleum to work on the BP Macondo well blowout. Jason is recognized by his co-workers and employees as a fair and compassionate man. He is often the voice of reason; acknowledged as the one who can “reign in” his staff. Jason married Elizabeth Lawson Monk on April 4, 2009. They have one son, Lawson (6) and two daughters, Annalyn (4) and Marilyn (2). Jared is widely known for his courageous spontaneity and snap decision making. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and mud rides. Each are members of the Crowley Town Club as well as the Forest Park Church of Christ.

During football season, you can find these brothers along with their siblings Amanda, Justin, Amy; their brother-in-law Robbie; and many of their closest friends in Baton Rouge supporting the LSU Tigers. Additionally, Jared and Jason can often be found cooking for golf tournaments, attending fundraisers for local schools and setting up tents and lights for local functions. Each brother proudly devotes countless hours to assisting with events throughout the community and rarely say “no” when it comes to Crowley or any person in need.
